IMPORTANT SAFETY AND LIABILITY NOTICE

Rigging Concepts Limited (“Rigging Concepts”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) designs and supplies products intended for industrial, commercial, and professional use in high-risk environments. Improper selection, use, or application of rigging products can result in serious injury, death, or significant property damage.

This Technical Disclaimer & User Responsibility Policy applies to all technical information, whether provided on our website, in brochures, catalogues, drawings, specifications, emails, quotations, manuals, presentations, marketing materials, training materials, or verbal communications (collectively, “Technical Information”).

1. NO ENGINEERING, LIFTING, OR SAFETY ADVICE

1.1 All Technical Information provided by Rigging Concepts is supplied for general informational purposes only.

1.2 Nothing provided by Rigging Concepts constitutes:

• engineering advice

• lifting advice

• safety advice

• application approval

• certification or sign-off

• a substitute for independent professional judgment

1.3 Rigging Concepts does not act as the engineer of record, lifting designer, or safety authority for any application.

2. NO BLANKET RATINGS OR WORKING LOAD LIMITS

2.1 Rigging Concepts does not publish blanket or universal:

• Working Load Limits (WLL)

• Safe Working Loads (SWL)

• safety factors

• application-specific ratings

2.2 Any reference to capacity, strength, performance, or rating is indicative only and must not be relied upon without independent verification.

2.3 Actual performance depends on numerous variables, including but not limited to:

• configuration and geometry

• load direction and dynamics

• environmental conditions

• inspection regime

• wear, abrasion, and damage

• compatibility with other components

3. USER RESPONSIBILITY FOR APPLICATION AND DESIGN

3.1 The user is solely responsible for:

• determining suitability for the intended application

• selecting appropriate products and configurations

• determining safety factors and margins

• ensuring compatibility with other components

• ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and industry codes

3.2 Where required by law, regulation, or industry practice, the user must engage a qualified engineer or lifting professional to assess and approve the application.

3.3 Rigging Concepts does not assume responsibility for application design, load calculations, or engineering analysis performed by others.

4. INSTALLATION, USE, AND INSPECTION

4.1 Products must be installed, used, inspected, and maintained in accordance with:

• applicable standards and regulations

• industry best practice

• any written instructions provided by Rigging Concepts

4.2 Products must be inspected prior to use and at appropriate intervals thereafter.

4.3 Products must be removed from service if damage, wear, deformation, or other conditions affecting safety are identified.

5. PROHIBITED USES AND MODIFICATIONS

5.1 Products must not be:

• modified, altered, or repaired without written authorisation

• used outside intended design parameters

• subjected to loads, environments, or conditions beyond those considered in design

5.2 Any unauthorised modification, alteration, or misuse voids any warranty and relieves Rigging Concepts of all responsibility.

6. NO RELIANCE ON MARKETING OR EXAMPLES

6.1 Any examples, illustrations, case studies, or demonstrations provided by Rigging Concepts are illustrative only.

6.2 Such examples do not constitute approval of any specific application.

6.3 The user must not rely on marketing materials or examples as a substitute for independent engineering assessment.

7. LIMITATION OF TECHNICAL LIABILITY

7.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rigging Concepts disclaims liability for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising from:

• misuse or incorrect application of products

• failure to follow industry standards or regulations

• reliance on Technical Information

• modification or unauthorised repair

• failure to inspect or maintain products

7.2 Rigging Concepts is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from technical information or product use.

8. USER INDEMNITY

The user agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Rigging Concepts, its directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

• application design or selection

• use or misuse of products

• failure to comply with laws or standards

• reliance on Technical Information

9. INTERNATIONAL APPLICATIONS

9.1 Products may be used internationally.

9.2 The user is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws, standards, and regulations.

9.3 Rigging Concepts makes no representation regarding compliance with any specific jurisdiction’s regulatory requirements.

10. GOVERNING LAW

This Technical Disclaimer & User Responsibility Policy is governed by the laws of New Zealand.

11. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of this Policy is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
